10 Days Karamojong Cultural Trail
Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe airport to Kampala.
On the arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by the company guide to a lodge or motel to rest of the long flight, have dinner, and rest.
Day 2 Kampala to Mabira, Jinja.
After breakfast, you set off to Mabira forest for a fun nature walk through the forest. Ziplining will also be an option for those interested until lunchtime. After lunch you get to visit the Mabira community to provide any help to the community then you will set off to Jinja for the night.
Day 8 Kidepo valley national park to Mount Moroto.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up to take for a game drive through the park after the game drive you head back to the lodge for lunch and after lunch, you will be taken to Mount Moroto for short hiking along the mountain and also visit the community that lives in the mountain.
Later you will be transported to the Karamojong community for the cultural experience.
Day 9 Karamojong cultural trail
Have breakfast at the lodge, with your guide you will be driven to the community chief of the Karamojong people for a small briefing about the community what you be doing while in the community. After the briefing, you will be taken to the community for the cultural experience of the Karamojong people. You will spend the night Savannah Lodge
Day 10 Transfer back to Kampala &Airport drop
After breakfast, you will be driven back or flown back to Kampala for your flight back home with the experience of a lifetime.
The package includes: Transportation by safari vehicle. Accommodation and meals as per itinerary. En-route lunches. Visit the Batwa cultural trail. Golden monkey tracking. Mountain Hiking. Driver allowances. The package excludes: The expenses of personal nature like Airfare, Uganda Visa, Luxury drinks, laundry, tips to local guides, telephone, and porter fee while trekking, personal insurance, personal shopping bills, and cigarettes, and any other item not mentioned above.
Day 3 Jinja to Elgon
After breakfast at the lodge, you will visit the bujagali falls and the source of the longest river in the world the Nile, Rafting at the Nile is also available. Horse riding along the river, boat riding on the river and the Lake Victoria, and nature walk in the Jinja city. At around 4.00 pm you will be transported to Mbale the region of mountain Elgon where you will spend the night.
Day 4 & 5 Mountain Elgon to Murchison falls national park
Have breakfast and after wait for your guide (if you have one) to go hiking along the Mountain Elgon and then in the late afternoon after lunch you will have a 2hours game drive in the park of Elgon. After the game drive, you can take a nature walk in the town of Mbale. You will spend a night at the lodge for the next day’s journey to Murchison falls national park which is 7hours long.
After breakfast at around 08.00 am you will be driven to Murchison Falls National park. Once in the park, no activity will take place when you reach until the next day apart from a nature walk around the lodge. (we do this to give you enough rest from the long journey).
Day 6 & 7 Murchison national park to Kidepo valley national park
Have breakfast and after wait for your guide and go for a game drive in the park. The game drive will end around the afternoon, have breakfast then head off to the falls for a swim in the falls. You will spend the night in the Murchison national park.in the morning you will set off to the Kidepo Valley National park which will be a 10hours drive but with 30 minutes stops in different towns or at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary.
After reaching Kidepo Valley National park you will relax until the next day for an awesome day.
