5 Days Culture & Hiking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe  

On the arrival you will be welcomed by one of our guides, he will take you to a hotel for the night and rest, have dinner, breakfast and get ready for the trip.  

The package includes: Transportation by safari vehicle. Accommodation and meals as per itinerary. En-route lunches. Visit the Batwa cultural trail. Golden monkey tracking. Mountain Hiking. Driver allowances. The package excludes: The expenses of personal nature like Airfare, Uganda Visa, Luxury drinks, laundry, tips to local guides, telephone, and porter fee while trekking, personal insurance, personal shopping bills, and cigarettes, and any other item not mentioned above.

Day 2 Batwa Cultural Trail

After breakfast, you will be picked up by the company guide at 8.00 am and take you to Kisoro district where the safari will start. The journey to Kisoro district is 4 hours, our guide will make stops for 20 to 15 minutes twice. At 1.00 pm you will be at your accommodation jungle lodge for lunch and then proceed to the Batwa cultural trail where you will learn about their survival and their traditions.

 

Day 3 Virunga Culture & Hiking Expedition

After breakfast, your guide will take you for gorilla trekking and Hiking in the park and witness the beauty of the thousand hills with magnificent views. Later in the evening, you can ask your guide for the evening game drive through the park (optional). 

Day 3 Hiking one of the 3 Virunga volcano mountains

After breakfast, the guide will take you hiking in the Virunga Mountains. You will be required to choose one mountain you be hiking. These mountains are Gahinga (pile of rocks), Muhabura (the Guide),  and the hardest Sabyinyo (Old man’s teeth). These mountains take a full day each to reach the top, if interested in hiking all of them you will be required to extend your stay (optional).

 

Day 4 Departure

Your guide will take you to the airport for your flight back.
