26 Days Uganda Culture & Wildlife Safari
Day 1. Arrival at Entebbe.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by our company guide and transferred to the hotel or lodge for overnight and dinner & breakfast.
Day 2. Drive to Jinja via Sezibwa falls.
After breakfast you will be picked up by the guide to transfer you to Jinja via the sezibwa falls for a stop at the falls and visit the near community at Mabira forest. These communities help in the conservation of the forest and its inhabitants. then proceed to Jinja. Have lunch and continue to other activities like visiting historical sites, community walk, boat ride at the source of Nile, rafting, and many others.
Day 9. Iky Culture experience & Hiking.
After breakfast, the guide will take you up to the hill or mountain of the Iky tribe (the smallest tribe in the northeast of Uganda). This tribe still lives in caves.
Day 10. Drive to Acholi Land.
After breakfast, the guide will transfer you to Gulu for the next adventure. On the way, the guide will take you via the Aruu Falls as your stopover and then continue to Acholi Land.
Day 11. Acholi Community Experience and culture.
After breakfast, you will start with visiting the historical sites in the region and know about the history of the Acholi land and its people. This land was formerly the base of the Rabel group known as LRA which tortured the people of this district. Full. After lunch, you will have a community walk and doing local activities with the locals.
Day 15. Cultural Tour In the Bunyoro Kingdom.
After breakfast, you will be taken through the Kingdom of Bunyoro and learn about the history of the Kingdom. Cultural dance performance will be available, community walk and nature walk by the lake before driving to Tooro Kingdom.
Day 16. Drive to Tooro Kingdom ( Fortportal town).
In the morning after breakfast the guide will drive you to the palace of the kingdom for a quick history review. After visiting the Palace you will be taken to the town of Fortportal, visit the markets and carry out a community walk in the town. In the evening you will be taken to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 17. Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, you will be taken for a morning game drive through the park until in the afternoon come back for lunch at the lodge. After lunch you will be taken for a community walk in the surrounding communities.
Day 21. Drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
After your breakfast you will be transferred to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park 2hours from Bwindi Impenetrable Park. In Mgahinga Gorilla park offers Gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking and other inhabitants in the park. After trekking you will visit the surrounding communities and nature walk.
Day 22. Batwa Cultural Trail.
After breakfast, you will visit the indegneous tribe of the Batwa the real inhatibants of the Rwenzori slopes and the forest of Mgahinga which means pile of rocks. This group still holds its traditions and live in the forest from the rest of the world.
Day 23. Drive to Ankole Kingdom & Ankole cultural Center.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ankole kingdom in Mbarara, you will visit the Kingdom’s museum at Igongo cultural center. The journey from Mgahinga to Mbarara is 4hours with no stops, with stops its is 5hours
Day 26. Departure.
On your last you can shop for suvniors from the markets (cultural markets) and later the guide will drop you off to the Airport in time of your flight. Thank you for touring with us.
The package includes: Transportation by safari vehicle. Accommodation and meals as per itinerary. En-route lunches. Visit the Batwa cultural trail. Golden monkey tracking. Mountain Hiking. Driver allowances. The package excludes: The expenses of personal nature like Airfare, Uganda Visa, Luxury drinks, laundry, tips to local guides, telephone, and porter fee while trekking, personal insurance, personal shopping bills, and cigarettes, and any other item not mentioned above.
Day 3. Mutoto Circumcision Ground
After breakfast, the guide will transfer you to the land of Bagishu and visit the traditional site of this tribe. The circumcision ceremony is important in this tribe because once you pass through this ceremony it indicates that you’re a man now. After the ground, you will be taken to your lodge for the overnight.
Day 4. Hiking to Sipi falls.
After breakfast, you will be taken for a hike towards the magnificent Sipi falls. After lunch, you will be taken for a community walk near Sipi Falls.
Day 5. Drive to Moroto-Karamajong culture expedition.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Moroto district, the journey is 4 hours with no stops but the guide will make a few 20 minutes stops along the journey. You will reach your lodge in the afternoon for lunch and then a community walk
Day 6. Karamajong Culture experience (visiting the Manyattas).
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Karamajong community for the cultural experience and traditional experiences, stories from the elders of the community, and a community walk.
Day 7. Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park.
After breakfast you be taken to the Kidepo Valley national park, the journey is 166km via the Matheniko Game reserve. Evening game drive in the park will be optional.
Day 8. Game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park.
After breakfast, you will be taken for a morning game drive until lunchtime have lunch and then you go back for the evening game drive.
Day 12. Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, the guide will take drive you to Murchison Falls national park 156km from Gulu about 4hrs. you will reach your lodge in the afternoon, have lunch, and later you will be taken for the evening game drive in the park.
Day 13. Game Drive & Boat ride in Murchison National Park ( on river Nile).
After breakfast you will be taken for the morning game drive until in the afternoon, come back to the lodge for lunch and after having lunch you will be taken for the boat ride along the river to see hippos, crocodiles, and other animals near the water.
Day 14. Cultural Experience with the Boomu Women Group
After breakfast, you will be taken to visit the Boomu Women Group show support to the group and exercise some activities carried out by the Group, listen to their successes and failures of the group, and provide any form of help to the group. For example helping the group with their failure through providing knowledge on how to overcome some problems, they do face in the community. At 4.00 pm you will be transferred to Bunyoro
Day 18. Game Drive & Boat ride in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
In the morning you will be taken for the morning game drive through the park, the park has many animals but it is most known for the tree climbin lions until in the afternoon. Have lunch at the lodge and then prepare for the boat ride
.
Day 19. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National park 2hours from Queen Elizabeth Park. On reaching the park you will carry out a community walk and a nature walk in the park or a game drive.
Day 20. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After your breakfast, you will be taken to the park for Gorilla trekking or Habituation depending on your Permit. Trekking takes 4 to 5 hours same time with Habituation. After the activity you will have lunch back at the lodge and then continue for a community activity in one of the surrounding communities to the Park and know their contribution with conserving the forest and its inhabitants.
Day 24. Drive to Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Mburo National park 2hours journey from mbarara. On arrival you will be taken for a game drive until lunch, have lunch at your lodge and then go back for the game drive in the park.
Day 25. Drive to Kampala for Buganda Kingdom (central Uganda).
After breakfast you will be taken for a morning game drive in the park then transfer to Kampala for your trip in the central of Uganda. When in Kampala you will start with the trip at the Kasubi tombs, Kabaka palace, vsist the museum, visit the markets and the Gaddafi mosque.
