HOW DO WE INVOLVE VOLUNTEERS INTO TOURISM
Volunteers like Doctors & Nurses, teachers, constructors, etc. play a huge role in our program of involving volunteers in tourism, their professionals can be of great use to the communities based in rural areas and remote areas of the country. For example, Volunteering Doctors & Nurses can teach, demonstrate or treat some patients and show how to treat patients with diseases like malaria and other killing diseases to the nurses in these communities. Veterinary doctors for Gorillas are also welcome to help, demonstrate and treat wounded gorillas by the poachers and animal diseases. Teach the local Vets how to carry out treatments to the Gorillas and prolong the life span of the gorillas.
As for the volunteering constructors, they can teach or demonstrate a few techniques used to build strong and affordable homes for the communities as most of these communities still live in unstable homes like huts. The learned skills could be put to use as a form of employment to the youths in the communities and build stable health centres and renovate the existing centres like Bwindi hospital.
Other volunteers are also welcome to support the communities in different aspects like supporting schools in the rural areas of the country, donating wheelchairs to disabled children in the rural areas, supporting the school for blind and deaf children in western Uganda, etc.
